Algebraic Structure of a Master Equation with Generalized Lindblad Form

چکیده
The quantum damped harmonic oscillator is described by the master equation with usual Lindblad form. The equation has been solved completely by us in arXiv : 0710.2724 [quant-ph]. To construct the general solution a few facts of representation theory based on the Lie algebra su(1, 1) were used. In this paper we treat a general model described by a master equation with generalized Lindblad form. Then we examine the algebraic structure related to some Lie algebras and construct the interesting approximate solution. Quantum Computation (Computer) is one of main subjects in Quantum Physics. To realize it we must overcome severe problems arising from Decoherence, so we need to study Quantum Open System to control decoherence (if possible). This paper is a series of [1] and [2], and we study dynamics of a quantum open system. First we explain our purpose in a short manner. See [3] as a general introduction to this subject. ∗E-mail address : [email protected]

A Master Equation with Generalized Lindblad Form and a Unitary Transformation by the Squeezing Operator
In the preceding paper arXiv : 0802.3252 [quant-ph] we treated a model given by a master equation with generalized Lindblad form, and examined the algebraic structure related to some Lie algebras and constructed an approximate solution. In this paper we apply a unitary transformation by the squeezing operator to the master equation. Then the generalized Lindblad form is tranformed to the usual ...

We address the problem of establishing which is the proper form of quantum master equation generating a survival probability identical to that corresponding to the nonergodic sequence of "light on" and "light off" fluorescence fluctuations in blinking quantum dots. We adopt a theoretical perspective based on the assumption that the abrupt transitions from the light on to light off state are the...
متن کاملCaldeira-Leggett master equation and medium temperatures
The Markovian approximation of quantum dissipation has been reconsidered in the model of Caldeira and Leggett [Physica A 121 (1983) 587]. Their high temperature master equation has been generalized to medium temperatures, Two additional damping terms in the master equation have been derived and shown to assure the Lindblad form of the equation. A transient term in the density matrix has been fo...
متن کاملQuantum jumps as decoherent histories
Quantum open systems are described in the Markovian limit by master equations in Lindblad form. I argue that common “quantum jumps” techniques, which solve the master equation by unraveling its evolution into stochastic trajectories in Hilbert space, correspond closely to a particular set of decoherent histories. This is illustrated by a simple model of a photon counting experiment. Recently a ...
متن کاملQuantum Statistical Mechanics. II. Stochastic Schrödinger Equation
The stochastic dissipative Schrödinger equation is derived for an open quantum system consisting of a sub-system able to exchange energy with a thermal reservoir. The resultant evolution of the wave function also gives the evolution of the density matrix, which is an explicit, stochastic form of the Lindblad master equation. A quantum fluctuation-dissipation theorem is also derived. The time co...
